Attorneys providing pro bono legal assistance can look to Santoni Investigations as a resource for investigative work to support their case. Santoni Investigations, along with National Trademark Investigations and our parent organization NTI Santoni, Inc., is proud to support a pro bono investigative services program.
“Attorneys providing pro bono services are upholding the best tenets of legal responsibility and ethics,” said NTI Santoni President and CEO, Timothy Santoni. “Pro bono supports communities, defends freedoms and extends equity to the marginalized. We are proud to be able, through our investigative work, to provide a measure of support to these matters.”
The pro bono investigative hours will be provided through NTI Santoni investigation firms Santoni Investigations and National Trademark Investigations in areas of law including consumer law, family law, intellectual property law and insurance law. The program creates a pool of investigative hours which will be allocated by a committee on a first-come, first-served basis to law firms pursuing pro bono matters.
“We have taken guidance in creating our pro bono program from the model law firm pro bono policy of the American Bar Association,” said Mr. Santoni. “As we support the mission of law firm pro bono projects, it seemed appropriate to mirror established goals and best practices, including that our pro bono work will meet the same high standards of professionalism and service as any other case, and will be provided toward legal services in cases seeking to protect or defend civil rights, civil liberties or public rights, especially in those cases where payment of fees would be impossible or would be an undue hardship.”
“The importance of providing pro bono legal services to those in need cannot be emphasized enough,” said Jeffrey Kobulnick, an intellectual property attorney with law firm Foley & Lardner LLP in Los Angeles and member of the firm’s National Pro Bono Committee. “Without pro bono assistance, these clients would otherwise not be able to afford counsel. Likewise, it will be a great benefit to have investigative services as a resource when handling pro bono cases, as those services are quite valuable and help keep the playing field even. I applaud NTI Santoni’s efforts.”
“Our investigators have extensive experience as finders of fact in a wide range of legal matters,” said Mr. Santoni. “Our firm looks forward to the opportunity to assist attorneys who are pursuing justice on behalf of their pro bono clients, and by so doing are providing diligent representation where it is most acutely needed.”
